A small idea of making quality plywood reach masses turned into a successful business venture. Our journey to success started in the year 1957 and today there is no name as trusted and popular as Duro in the plywood Industry.

Year	Description
1957	Shri P.D. Chitlangia established Tea Chest manufacturing, a small business in Jeypore, Assam.
1964	We commercially began production of plywood.
1968	We established our own brand, Duro.
1969	We ventured in the Indian Door Manufacturing Industry and established Durobord and DuroDoor to market our line of doors.
1974	The changed its ownership of our company, Sarda Plywood, changed to Public Limited Company. Our new line of decorative plywoods was launched under the name DuroTeak.
1976	We obtained ISI certification for manufacturing the best quality plywood.
1981	We included BWR and BWP Plywood in our collection.
1995	We proudly established the largest Plywood Factory in Asia at our existing location in Jeypore, India.
1996	We got into the Veneer Industry and started marketing veneer under the brand name NatureÃƒÂƒÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÂ‚Ã‚Â€ÃƒÂ‚Ã‚Â™s Signature.
1999	Our production operations expanded to Rajkot, Gujarat.
2005-2007	We created DuroDoor, DuroFlex and FabPly in three years of span.
2010	We started producing flush doors using extruded particle board under the name TechPly Door.
2012	We obtained FSCÃƒÂƒÃ‚Â‚ÃƒÂ‚Ã‚Â® (license code FSC-C108194) as well as E1 Certifications for becoming a forest-friendly company.
2013	We pioneered plywood using European Beech.
2014	Our 20^th office established in India.
2017	We opened our own Duro Exclusive Experience Center in the Indian National Capital, New Delhi.
2021	We launched Duro Plus to serve a range of 10 Plywoods, Doors and Boards.

Meet The Team

The company is flourishing and thriving under the mentorship of Mr. Sudeep Chitlangia (MD) of the company. Since 1993, he has been managing the company with complete responsibility and dedication to make it reach unparalleled height. He possess more than 35 years of experience in this industry. With rich knowledge of wood material and experience of handling business operations, he has been working in the area of implementing better wood technologies. He is also serving as a member of the Entrepreneur Organization and Committee of Merchant Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kolkata. He was also one of the members in the Board of Indian Plywood Industry Research and Training Institute (IPIRTI).

Mr. Jaydeep Chitlangia is a mentor of the company, providing guidance on the overall management. He holds great experience in handling Sales and Marketing fields and also has knowledge of deep industry insights.

In the past, he has served as a responsible President of Indian Agro & Recycled Paper Mills Association. Currently, he is serving as the Secretary-General of Federation of Indian Plywood & Panel Industry. He is also a Trustee-Promoter of the famous Heritage School in Kolkata. In the Indian Golf Union, he has served as a President of a great duration of time.

Mr. Akhilesh Chitlangia is the Executive Director and COO of the company. He holds 10 years of rich experience in this arena. He has specialization in marketing, distribution expansion and implementation of new initiatives for the benefit of company.

In the company, he has four years of experience in handling sales and marketing departments. He has completed Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the popular Boston University, USA.

Mr. Abhishek Chitlangia comes with rich experience of 6 years. Presently, he is handling production activities of the company and pursuing lean and six-sigma for quality-rich and highly efficient production. He is associated with NCCF Safeboards Standards as well as BIS Working Group for plywood standards. He has completed BBA and Industrial and Operations Engineering from highly reputed Ross School of Business.

He has experience in handling numerous business roles by working with Ventower Industries (Michigan, USA), BNP Paribas and Bain & Company (Chicago, USA).

We also have with us the support of Mr. Devesh Ahluwalia (Vice President Sales), Mr. Pawan Kumar Verma (General Manager, Accounts) and Mr. Shashank Hissaria (General Manager).
